Turtle Creek is situated near the Town of Riverview and the head pond baove the Turtle Creek dam provides the main supply of drinking water for the tri-community (Dieppe, Moncton, Riverview). The reservoir is 15,000 hectares in size and is protected under the Provincial Watershed Protected Area Designation Order, which puts strict limits on the type of activities that can be done within 75 meters of the reservoir. The Turtle Creek watershed is mainly forested and managed by the City of Moncton. For further information on water quality for Turtle Creek refer to the table below.
