This summer, the Petitcodiac Watershed Alliance was fortunate to welcome four passionate interns: Abrer, Jonathan, Padden, and Will. Each brought their own strengths and energy, making a big impact on our projects and community outreach.

Our three Project Assistants Jonathan, Padden, and Will. Supported every major project at PWA. Jonathan not only played a lead role in Water Quality monitoring but also served as our go-to translator, ensuring our communications reached a wider audience. Padden contributed his strong knowledge of plants to projects like the Native Seed initiative and Rain Gardens, helping us promote greener, healthier spaces. Will worked across several new and ongoing efforts, from Broken Brooks restoration and Living Lab NB to upcoming freshwater mussel research and he impressed us all with his skills in QGIS mapping, creating clear visuals of our work in the watershed.

Meanwhile, Abrer led our Outreach and Communication efforts, ensuring that our message reached the public through engaging social media, website updates, flyers, posters, photos, and videos. He played a key role in connecting our projects with the broader community and building awareness of watershed issues.

Together, this team of interns brought fresh perspectives, creativity, and leadership that strengthened nearly every aspect of our work this summer. We are grateful for their contributions and excited to see where their talents take them next.
