We love getting out into the community and connecting with people. While these opportunities are less frequent in the winter months, we still managed to get out a few times.
City of Moncton Presentation
The PWA project leaders were invited to present to staff members at the City of Moncton.
During the presentation, we shared our various project goals and reflected on past projects completed in collaboration with the City of Moncton. Projects highlighted included Water Quality, Native Seeds, Tree Planting, Water Guardians, Broken Brooks, and Phragmites management.
We enjoyed the opportunity to connect with city staff, discuss our work, and exchange ideas on how we can continue collaborating to protect and improve our watershed.

Booths and Other Adventures
The team had a great time attending the 2026 New Brunswick Atlantic Salmon Symposium in Fredericton, hosted by the Foundation for Conservation of Atlantic Salmon and the New Brunswick Salmon Council.
We gained valuable insights into the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization’s (NASCO) strategy to ensure the future of Atlantic salmon (2024–2036 plan). The symposium also featured important perspectives from Indigenous communities, as well as emerging research technologies that could be applied to our watershed.

Up next, we plan to attend the TransAqua Annual General Meeting, the Centre d’Accompagnement Francophone des Immigrants du Sud-Est du Nouveau-Brunswick (CAFI) Gener’Action program closing ceremony, and host a booth at Riverview Seedy Saturday. Stay tuned to our social media for updates on how these events went!
