Ending the month of May with a bang, we are proud to announce that the Freshwater Mussel Report for 2025–2026 is available on our website now! Check it out to learn more about freshwater mussels, the results of our surveys throughout the summer of 2025, and the threats freshwater mussels are currently facing within our watershed.
Plans to continue the project into the 2026–2027 field season are already underway, and we are eagerly awaiting to see if we can expand on the project this year to monitor sites last year’s results suggest may be at risk. With last year’s monitoring efforts now officially complete, we look forward to what comes next for this project.
