Our annual water quality testing for the Petitcodiac Watershed region has begun once again! Throughout the final two weeks of May our staff here at the PWA were able to test all 21 of our water quality sites to monitor the quality of the lakes and rivers that make up our watershed.

In addition to our water quality testing, we are also busy at work getting ready to begin our E. coli data collection for Swim Guide and temperature monitoring efforts. Although we will no longer be testing E. coli at Hopper Hole this year, we are excited to announce that we will once again be testing at Jones Lake for the first time since 2023.

Our work has only just begun, and we look forward to sharing our findings as we continue to monitor water quality throughout the summer months. To stay updated on the quality of local rivers and lakes, be sure to check Atlantic DataStream as more data becomes available.
